I have been using awstats for a while now, but never got round to finish configuring awstats to generate charts on the fly. I always kept getting a: [code]You don’t have permission to access /awstats/awstats.pl on this server.[/code] The problem lay with permissions. Most sources pointed to allowing read and execute for others and group on /usr/local/awstats/wwwroot, instead I discovered they needed to be set on /usr/local/awstats/ so that Apache could read and execute the file.
